Character Info: Name: Mamoru Endou
Age: 14? His age isn't explicitly stated, but he is in grade 8, or 2nd year of middle school.
Canon: Inazuma Eleven - anime
Pull Point: A month after beating the Football Frontier International, which is pretty much the end of season 3 minus that last episode where they graduate from middle school.
Background Info: History: Inazuma Eleven wiki - EndouPersonality: Upon meeting Endou, the first thing one will notice about him is his love for soccer. Soccer is his absolute favourite sport and all he thinks, speaks and dreams about is soccer. In fact, calling him the biggest soccer freak in the world would be a huge compliment to him. His love for soccer began as a child, when he stumbled upon a soccer ball and his grandfather's training notes (which are written with illegible handwriting, though Endou somehow managed to decipher it.) Ever since that day, he practiced and played soccer, eventually becoming the captain of Raimon middle school's soccer club, and then the captain of Japan's representative team in the FFI, Inazuma Japan.
Endou is an extremely positive, cheerful and hard working person. He never gives up, and always places others before himself. He never has a bad word to say, and instead of laughing at those who fail or give up, he encourages them, going as far as joining his fellow teammates in training which doesn't benefit him at all. He works harder than anyone else to become strong, often training until he's all battered and bruised. His dream is to face strong soccer players, and when faced with an extremely strong opponent, instead of despairing, he becomes excited and joyful.
His mindset has towards defeat and those stronger than him have often thrown off other people, but it is that same mindset that attracts friends and enemies towards him. More often than not, Endou becomes friends with all the players he faces, whether they were children masquerading as aliens to take over the world, or pro players from a country halfway across the world (apparently there are no language barriers in Inazuma Eleven.) Endou's mental strength has no bounds, and it is his will that brings his team together.
Game Specific: Arcana: Sun
Justification: As defined in the Megami Tensei wikia, the Sun symbolizes happiness, joy, energy, optimism, and accomplishment. All of these are pretty much what Endou is. He's always happy, full of energy and optimism, and works to accomplish his hopes and dreams.
Samples: First Person Sample:[The feed turns on to the sight of gloves covering part of the view, and a bit of mumbling.]
Is this a phone? I think I turned it on...
[The glove covered hand moved away, allowing a close shot of the face of a young boy with an orange bandanna to appear on the feed. The boy stared, and then tapped the screen a bit. Testing, testing! Is this on?
[Satisfied that the device was on and working, he drew back and grinning.]Hey, everyone! Does anyone know where this place is? It doesn't look like Raimon at all...
[He frowned a little and looked around, before looking back at the screen with another grin.]Hey, does anyone play soccer here? If you do, let's play soccer together! I wonder how many awesome players I'll meet here~ Oh yeah, I forgot to introduce myself! I'm Endou Mamoru, captain and goalkeeper of Inazuma Japan! Nice to meet you all!
Third Person Sample:It wasn't an uncommon sight to find the young captain playing with a soccer ball in Prospero, often running around and practicing his dribbling, as he had no other person to practice with. He had yet to obtain a tire and a rope to set up the method he used to train his goalkeeping abilities, but that was the furthest thing on his mind at the moment.
Instead, Endou was thinking about the information he received an hour ago. It seemed he was located on an island off the coast of America now, with no idea how he got there, and no idea how to get back to Japan. The device he had been given to communicate with other residents of the island didn't seem to do long distance calling, so he couldn't call home or any of his teammates, or anybody in America, though he didn't know any of the phone numbers of the players in the America team.
Endou stopped dribbling for a second, before continuing again. His teammates were definitely alright, they could manage without him. It would still be around a year before the Football Frontier and Football Frontier International came around again, so that was plenty of time for him to find a way back to Japan. In the meanwhile though, he would train, so he wouldn't fall behind the rest of his team during his stay in Prospero.
"Yosh!! Time to find a rope and tire!" With that, the goalkeeper picked up the soccer ball and ran off into the town in search for the items he needed for his training.
